A few years ago my former roommate and I went on a weekend trip to Lake Havasu since it was so close Los Angeles. Half of the lake actually belongs to CA. This was late spring almost early summer and we were in hiking shorts or a bathing suit almost the whole time. Now this is a tourist destination so any rentals at the lake are going to be pricey. Like $25 an hour pricey. We brought our own little blow up dingy and snacks. Water is a must have! The hiking areas around the lake are really cool with great views but be prepared to do some climbing. There’s little caverns to go through and at the end of it you can jump in the refreshing cool lake. This time of year it was actually quite chilly. I reccomend eating at a restaurant on the lake at least once and crossing their tiny London Bridge. This place is family and pet friendly, and a destination I would 100% return to.
